About AMY.... Artist * pERson * LouLouART
Amy E. Flis, LouLouARTist
I am a 2003 graduate of Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia. I majored in 3-D Fine Arts with a concentration in metal work. I have been a part of the talented group of art teachers for the Chester County Art Association since 2006, I joined the staff at Art Partners Studio spring of 2013 and I enjoy every minute of it! I teach Anime & Cartooning to kids and teens. My students help keep art alive. They're a great inspiration to be around as they remind me of myself when I was their age, a sponge for absorbing art. The learning never stops.
If I had to select a word or two to describe my work, it would be "Uniquely Patternless". Creating art; whether it is wearable or not, has always been a passion of mine. I pride myself on creating work as I envision it. A large part of the art that I make is drawn, cut, sculpted or collaged with an element of free hand. I enjoy the use of salvage objects in some of my pieces. I am drawn to contrast as well as function, but despite any underlying inspirations, I love the processes of creating my artistic visions and I consider it an honor to be able to share it with the public.
